  • Research Liaison Officer - I am responsible for promoting and developing interdisciplinary research involving mathematics or statistics and to reinforce connections with industry.
  • I run the Industrial and Interdisciplinary Workshop Series (in Maths) on Fridays in term-time;
  • I look for industrial sponsors for the MSc in Mathematical Modelling and Scientific Computing;
  • I bring in projects for the MSc in Applied Statistics;
  • I search for prize-sponsors for statistics courses.

Research Interests: 

My original love was Combinatorics although I am no longer performing my own research in this field.

Further Details: 

I have worked in academia (teaching & post-doctoral fellowships), the civil service (Department for Education and Employment, London) through the Gov't OR service, private industry (numbercraft, Lawson Software, the Smith Institute) and I have prior experience of research liaison through the Industrial Mathematics KTN.
