Research Interests: 

Semigroup theory: the partial actions of semigroups on sets; the properties of left restriction semigroups, a class of semigroups arising from the study of partial transformations.

History of mathematics: the development of semigroup theory and other areas of abstract algebra during the twentieth century in general and the Cold War in particular.
