Research Interests:
I am a student of Christoph Ortner and Yves Capdeboscq; my main interest lies in the analysis of solid materials, especially rigorously obtaining macroscale models from microscopic ones. My main focus of interest is in lattice defects, their scaling and properties. I am particularly interested in dislocations, and obtaining a good model to describe their core energy. I am actively involved in Oxford Solid Mechanics, and maintain the website, which may be found here. Prizes, Awards and Scholarships:
Holder of a 4-year Postgraduate PDE Studentship at OxPDE. Meritorious Winner, COMAP Mathematical Contest in Modelling, 2009. Overall Winner, eBourbaki "Bicycles in London" modelling competition, 2008. Postmaster, Merton College, Oxford, 2008. Exhibitioner, Merton College, Oxford, 2007. Major/Recent Publications:
