DPhil in Mathematical Sciences

We admit outstanding students from worldwide for our DPhil (PhD) programme. We welcome students with their own particular ideas of research topic as well as students with broad interest in the field of Mathematical Finance.

MSc in Mathematical and Computational Finance

A one-year full-time taught course for students with a strong mathematical background. The MSc combines a strong grounding in the core areas of mathematical finance with the study of more advanced topics, providing students with the skills necessary for further quantitative research. MSc in Mathematical Finance

A two-year part-time taught course on quantitative techniques in the financial markets, aimed at people who work in this profession or are about to. The course is taught in a series of modules that are taught by experts in the respective field. More information is on the course website.

Other Finance at Oxford

Oxford offers an array of other graduate courses related to Finance which could be on interest, in particular to students without adequate strong mathematical background to pursue the courses listed above. The Saïd Business School’s finance faculty and the University’s Department of Economics jointly run a nine-month full-time MSc in Financial Economics. The MSc combines a rigorous academic core with tailored practical application.
