The Nomura Centre sponsors one or two Junior Research Fellowships, which are three-year, post-doctoral research positions, in conjunction with Wadham College and St Hugh's College. Dr Lukas Szpruch, who currently holds one of these positions, was appointed in October 2010.

The Centre also sponsors Senior Research Fellow/Distinguished Visitor positions. These offer support to a senior researcher to spend time at Oxford and become involved in the Centre's activities, either part-time over an extended period, or for a long visit (such as a sabbatical).
