The KAUST Visiting Fellows Scheme (KVF)

The Oxford Centre for Collaborative Applied Mathematics (OCCAM) is delighted to announce the launch of its KAUST Visiting Fellows Scheme (KVF). Our collaboration with KAUST is integral to our work and this scheme will enable KAUST faculty to spend time in Oxford, sharing ideas and resources with Oxford colleagues to the benefit of both partners.  The duration of the visit will depend on the nature of the collaboration, but we envisage a minimum of two weeks up to a maximum of three months.

OCCAM has been established as the result of a substantial grant from KAUST. Its strategic vision is to be a world-class research centre in problem-solving mathematics allied to a global network designed to enable the best mathematical expertise to be brought to bear on the world's problems. OCCAM is engaged in a wide range of collaborative applied and computational mathematics projects under the broad  headings of Methodologies (M), Resources, Energy and Environment (REE), Biosciences and Bioengineering (BB), and Materials Science and Engineering (MSE).

KVFs will hold an academic position in KAUST and you will receive full accommodation and subsistence for your visit. Our team will assist you in all administrative matters. Applications should include a CV and a one-page summary of your research proposal, including your plans for collaboration. We encourage visits from existing KAUST-OCCAM collaborators, but we are also looking for KAUST faculty wanting to explore new collaborations with our faculty.

This is an open scheme. Applications will be considered throughout the year. Please send all correspondence to Dyrol Lumbard, OCCAM Project Manager, occam-manager [-at-] maths [dot] ox [dot] ac [dot] uk
