Free Surface and Interface Problems Workshop, Oxford, 14 &15 September 2012

The general theme of the workshop is the theoretical and numerical aspects of nonlinear hyperbolic and dispersive free boundary & interface problems. These various types of PDE problems arise from a variety of important real world problems in fluid and gas dynamics, and offer challenges both from the analytical and numerical viewpoints.
There will be six analysts and three numerical analysts taking part, who are experts on various types of problems encountered in this area. There will be a mix of analysis and numerical talks in each of the three session, with the intention of highlighting connections between analysis and numerical sides of the topics.
