Software for Personal Machines

This page list the small number of applications etc that are available directly through the department for use on a personal machine.

The vast majority of software that you may be entitled to is managed centrally via the OUCS online shop. In particular if your machine is running windows you should strongly consider installing the Sophos anti virus software available free to university members.

Maple (All other departments have now mainly dropped maple in favour of Mathematica and/or Matlab. From January 2012 the maple license no longer covers student home use. Students who wish to use Maple on a personal machine will thus have to purchase a license directly.)
