Gerrans Collection
- The Gerrans Collection was the gift of H.T. Gerrans' widow to the Mathematical Institute for the use of the Waynflete Professor of Mathematics.
- The collection comprises mathematical works (ie. books, journals, collected works), from the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century.
- Material from the Gerrans Collection can be located using the card catalogue in the main Whitehead Library ; the Collection is not catalogued on OLIS yet.
- The Collection is reference only for consultation in the Whitehead Library ; Gerrans material may not be borrowed.
- If you wish to consult a Gerrans book, this can be ordered by completing a blue "Basement/Gerrans Request" slip and handing this to the Librarian or leaving it in the tray. Items will be fetched from the Basement each morning before 10 am and placed on the trolley for readers to use in the Library.
