Weblint
Weblint is a html checker and is designed to pick the fluff of your pages (hence the name). It can be used to check a single file or a collection of files. Simple examples of its use are
weblint filename
weblint filename1 filename2
weblint *.html
A useful option is
-x Netscape
which means it will accept netscape extensions to html as valid. For a more thorough check you can use the option
-pedantic
