I received a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Physics from Heidelberg University in Germany. During my studies I specialized in image analysis, machine learning and scientific computing. Since graduation in 2014 I work for a German financial risk management consultancy where I currently focus on credit risk.
I decided to join the Oxford mathematical finance program to study various topics of financial mathematics without taking a career break.

I am 42 now having 20 years’ experience in financial markets (predominantly in fixed income, interest rate and fx derivatives). My main motivation to complete this MSc is to improve my mathematical argumentation, to develop excellence in financial instruments valuation and to build proper pre-requisites for further academic/research career (PhD in Mathematics). My main fields of interest for the future research are: credit risk and liquidity risk modelling in banking institutions.
I have studied mathematics, experimental physics and finance in Germany (Mainz) and obtained a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in mathematics. During my master studies I specialised in algebraic geometry, group theory and wrote my master’s thesis on Bloch’s higher Chow groups. After graduation in 2014 I started working for an international financial consultancy where I focus on risk management.
The MSc programme in mathematical finance is the perfect selection for me to combine my interest in mathematical finance with my professional work and to continue my mathematical education.
