The Parliamentary and Scientific Committee will host STEM for Britain in Parliament in early March 2018, as part of British Science Week 2018. Mathematics has again been included in the headline title for 2018. Early career mathematicians in all branches of the mathematical sciences, pure and applied, are invited to take part in this major scientific competition and exhibition in Parliament. The closing date for abstracts will be in December 2017 (exact date yet to be finalised).  There will be an initial selection by the judges and you will be informed by the end of January 2018 whether or not your application to take part in the exhibition has been successful.

In addition to researchers having the opportunities to win the £3,000 gold prize, the £2000 silver prize and the £1000 bronze prize, this is an opportunity to show to Parliamentarians the enormous importance and strength of the mathematics sciences in the UK. This is the largest STEM researchers / politicians event in the UK; and some say in Europe. The media coverage is well managed and provides excellent coverage for presenters, their universities, and the mathematical sciences.
