Departmental Lecturer in Mathematical Finance
The Mathematical Institute proposes to appoint a Departmental Lecturer in Mathematical Finance starting as soon as possible after 1 September 2010, or before then by mutual agreement. This is a fixed-term position until 30 September 2012.
The Lecturer will contribute to the teaching and administration associated with both the full-time MSc in Mathematical and Computational Finance and the part-time MSc/Diploma course in Mathematical Finance which is run jointly with the Department for Continuing Education and is intended for finance professionals from a mathematical background. The lecturer will also be expected to contribute to the work of the Mathematical and Computational Finance research group.
The successful candidate will be expected to have a PhD in Mathematics, show evidence of excellence in research in Mathematical Finance, at a level comparable with that of Oxford Mathematical Finance Group members and have a publication record in mathematical and computational finance in refereed journals consistent with the stage their career.
