Radcliffe Science Library

The Radcliffe Science Library (RSL), one of the Bodleian group of libraries, is the main science research library. The library provides services and collections to support the world leading research and teaching activity in mathematical, physical and life sciences. Physical collections include over 1 million volumes of scientific literature, built through the legal deposit programme, which the Bodleian Libraries are part of, and acquisition of materials.
SOLO library catalogue can be used to search for books held in about 100 libraries in Oxford, or to link to centrally enabled electronic sources.

Mathematics collections

RSL is a lending and reference library that provides printed textbooks for undergraduate and taught graduate courses, and books and book series for research. . Less frequently used materials are held in the remote storage facility - BSF at Swindon - and can be requested using SOLO for delivery to RSL Main Desk (or Entrance Hall) within 24 hours.

The Research Guide for Mathematics provides links to an excellent electronic collection for research which is enabled 24/7, provides desktop access to e-databases (MathSciNet, Web of Science, Scopus), e-books and e-book series (OUP, CUP, Springer), OU e-journals, conference papers, and proceedings. The guide also provides links to research impact and open access sources of information for researchers.

The RSL Library Services include Enquiry Services, Live Help (via SOLO), Document Supply and Interlibrary Loan, consultations with subject librarians, and training courses; variety of Reading Room spaces, group study room, and training room, laptop spaces, wireless and physical network of computers, 3D printing facilities, and access to reference management software and specialist mapping software.
