Stipendiary Lecturership in Pure Mathematics, Hertford College

 

Hertford College invites applications for a Stipendiary Lecturership in Pure Mathematics from 1 October 2012 to 30 September 2013. The successful candidate will be expected to provide six hours of tutorial teaching per week (averaged over the period of employment), in the areas described in the further particulars for this position.

In addition, the person appointed will be required to set and mark College examinations in Mathematics, assist with the routine administration and organization of teaching in this area, undergraduate admissions, and the pastoral care of students.

The appointment will be made on the Stipendiary LecturersÕ annual salary scale for this number of hours of teaching, from £12,260 to £13,789, depending upon experience. The successful candidate will be entitled to free lunches when teaching (and one free dinner per week) during term time, and the use of
a shared teaching room. To comply with employment legislation the successful candidate will be required to provide documentary evidence of his or her eligibility for employment in the UK before starting work with the College.
