Deputy Academic Administrator (maternity cover) INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY
The Mathematical Institute requires an experienced administrator to provide 13 months maternity cover for the Deputy Academic Administrator. This position is available to internal applicants and could be arranged as a secondment.
The post holder will provide administrative support in student administration. The post holder will need to use initiative in order to deal with varied and complex queries, in order to collect and present information on a variety of matters, and in order to set up and maintain appropriate record-keeping systems. The post holder will be expected to work with minimum supervision, and prioritise competing demands effectively.
Note that the postholder must be generally available during the examination period, from end May to mid-July.
The post holder will have a good general educational level, excellent organisational skills, excellent communication skills, both written and oral together with experience of academic administration, the ability to work with, and provide effective support for, a wide variety of people, in both academic and administrative roles, at all levels.
