Applications are invited for the post of Research Grants Manager, to support the research activities of the Mathematical Institute.  This is a 4 year fixed-term position and is available for an immediate start.

This role of Research Grants Manager is pivotal in providing a comprehensive research grant management services to the department, and as such is the interface between pre- and post-award administrative grants and contract functions within the department, academic staff, Research Accounts and Research Services within University Administration and Services, and internal and external funding agencies.

The Research Grants Manager will work under the line management of the Finance Manager, will be part of a small team and will be responsible for the management of the portfolio of funded grants and contracts through the full lifecycle of projects from award to final report. The postholder will report operationally to the Head of Research Facilitation.

The successful candidate will be educated to at least A-level standard or equivalent in at least one numerate subject and have experience of working in a research administration function, in particular, experience of managing awarded grants and contracts.
