We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant position, funded by ERC, to work with Prof. David Conlon at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford. This is a 2 year fixed term position and is available from 1st October 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The post holder will be a member of a research group with responsibility for carrying out research for the ERC project 'Randomness and pseudorandomness in discrete mathematics', under the supervision of the grant holder Professor David Conlon, with a particular emphasis on developing new tools for solving longstanding problems in Ramsey theory.

Applicants should have a PhD awarded, or a Masters degree and PhD submitted (at the time of taking up the position) in mathematics or a related discipline, demonstrate technical abilities together with the ability to communicate with others and problem solve.
