The Mathematical Institute wishes to appoint an enthusiastic individual with excellent organisational skills as the Administrator for the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Industrially Focused Mathematical Modelling (InFoMM). This is a full-time fixed-term position, tenable until 30 September 2020. For more details about InFoMM, please visit http://www.maths.ox.ac.uk/infomm
You will be the first port of call for students and academic staff involved with InFoMM and will be responsible for developing and maintaining the CDT’s administration. You will also organise training, admissions, and events, and manage the InFoMM website. A key part of the role will be to provide financial advice and guidance to the Directors and produce management reports on expenditure. You will work closely with the CDT’s Industry Facilitator to ensure that InFoMM’s industrial partners (currently around 60) are kept well engaged, and you will oversee the progress of contractual agreements with the industrial partners.
With a first degree (or equivalent), you will have excellent organisational skills, outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to produce high quality documentation tailored to the relevant audience. You will also have experience in the financial management of projects, and proven IT skills. You will have the ability to exercise sound judgement and work independently using your own initiative, combined with the skills of a good team player who is able to adopt a flexible approach to a varied workload.
