I am working on the 'reverse radar problem'. Radars send out pulses, which are reflected by surfaces. This way the radar determines that there is a object at a certain place. If one intercepts these pulses from different radars, one can roughly determine the type and the location of these radars. Given this information and a library of platforms that carry certain combinations of radar types, can one determine what radar-carrying platforms are where? I am trying to solve this part of the problem by using combinatorial tools. In particular matchings and factors in graphs of bounded treewidth. Prizes, Awards and Scholarships:
