Research Interests: 

My supervisor is Professor Gui-Qiang Chen, who works on hyperbolic conservation laws. I am focussing on the short-time existence/stability of characteristic discontinuities in the Euler equations of gas dynamics and the equations of ideal magnetohydrodynamics. This involves energy estimates and the use of an iteration technique known as Nash-Moser iteration.
