The Mathematical Institute is looking for an enthusiastic individual with excellent organisational skills to provide administrative support for student administration within its academic administration team.  This permanent position provides an exciting opportunity for someone wishing to develop a career in academic administration in a large and internationally renowned department within the University of Oxford.  

The post holder will provide administrative support in student administration using their initiative in order to deal with varied and complex queries, in order to collect and present information on a variety of matters, and in order to set up and maintain appropriate record-keeping systems.  The post holder will be expected to work with minimum supervision, and prioritise competing demands effectively. 

The post holder must have a good understanding of general administrative practices and procedures and have the flexibility and ability to balance and prioritise their workload in order to meet deadlines.  Good IT skills are essential as are excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Previous experience of administration of educational programmes is desirable but not essential.
