We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant, funded by the EPSRC, to work with Professor Konstantin Ardakov at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford. This is a fixed term position for 19 months and is available from 1st January 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The successful candidate will work on research projects related to the EPSRC grant “Geometrisation of p-adic representations of p-adic Lie groups” and will write up the research results for publication.  They will also provide an average of 3 hours per week of teaching for 24 weeks of the year, for which additional remuneration will be paid.

The successful candidate will have a PhD awarded (or a Master-level degree and PhD submitted at the time of taking up the position) in mathematics together with expertise in a branch of arithmetic geometry or non-commutative algebra and a good research and publication record, judged by the stage of his or her career
