We invite applications for up to three Postdoctoral Research Associates in Topological Data Analysis to work with Professors Heather Harrington, Ulrike Tillmann and Vidit Nanda at the Mathematical Institute, and Gesine Reinert at the Department of Statistics, University of Oxford. The positions are available full time, fixed-term for 12 months each, and the successful candidates will be based at the Mathematical Institute in the heart of central Oxford.

The successful candidates will perform and manage their own mathematical research and write the results up for publication. They will join the thriving research community at the Centre for Topological Data Analysis at Oxford and participate in the activities of the group. This includes contributing ideas for new research projects, presenting papers at conferences and providing guidance to junior members of the research group including project students, PhD students, and/or project volunteers.

Applicants will have, or be close to completing, a PhD in in the mathematical sciences, preferably in (applied) topology, statistics, machine learning or data science, together with sufficient specialist knowledge in algebraic topology, the ability to manage their own academic research and associated activities, and excellent communication skills. Experience in computer programming and of computational mathematics is desirable.
