Women in Partial Differential Equations & Calculus of Variations Workshop

The aim of this three-day workshop is to bring together female specialists working on problems in the Calculus
of Variations and the analysis of Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations.

The meeting coincides with International Women’s Day, held annually on March 8 to celebrate the
achievements of women.

Why hold such a workshop? Currently only 6% of UK Maths Professors are female (Advancing
Women in Mathematics: Good Practice in UK University Departments; LMS Report 27/02/2013).

This workshop forms part of a wider set of conferences, workshops and short courses supported by OxPDE. 
The workshop is open to all but registration is required.
