This is the second announcement for the next joint British Mathematical Colloquium (BMC) and British Applied Mathematics Colloquium (BAMC) meeting, which will be held online 6th-9th April 2021. This is the postponed version of the 2020 event.

The joint BMC/BAMC, which is held every five years, is the largest meeting of its kind in UK mathematics. We will be offering a full programme of plenary lectures, BMC sessions, BAMC mini-symposia, contributed talks, poster sessions, public lecture, and various social events. The draft programme for the 2021 event is now available, including the draft daily schedules, and can be found here:

Due to the ongoing pandemic, we have taken the decision to move the conference fully online, and we will be hosting the conference using the software platform Sococo. This has the advantage of allowing for many informal social interactions, whilst also interfacing well with Zoom to deliver the scientific programme. A short tutorial on the software, which gives a feel for what to expect, can be found here

Registration is now open and the Early Bird conference fee is a flat £15. This will be a contribution to the cost of the software platform and tech support, which is being heavily subsidised by various funders. We encourage everyone to register as early as possible, and to take advantage of the first large UK mathematics conference in some time.
