The first James (Jim) Perry Browne Sussex Mathematics Colloquium will be delivered by Fields medalist Alessio Figalli from ETH, Zurich. Professor Figalli will explain to a non-specialist audience the theory of optimal transport, for which he was awarded the Fields Medal.
