Alvaro Gonzalez Hernandez - Aperiodic Tiling Flower Pots

One of the things that I like about the flowers of a plant is that even though they all look very similar, no two of them look the same. In a similar way, when we look at an aperiodic tiling, although there are patches that look similar the design never repeats in a periodic way. I wanted to mix these two concepts by decorating my plant pots with two aperiodic tilings: the kite-domino tiling and Penrose’s rhombus tiling.
