The winner of the medal will receive £1000, a silver medal and certificate. It is expected that this will be used in support of the professional development of the award winner or to further enhance their teaching and learning practice.

The medal will be awarded to individuals who might be working within any role but who have made a significant and sustained contribution to the teaching of the mathematical sciences at university-level. Successful nominees will need to demonstrate a proven ability to inspire, enhance and support learning by a diverse range of students; engagement with the scholarship of teaching and learning; and the ability to influence the practice of colleagues, both within their own institution and beyond.

Award of the IMA John Blake University Teaching Medal will be made via nomination only. For full information including eligibility and nomination details, and key dates for the process, please follow this link. Nomination is open until January 2023.
