Fridays@2 Poster

Come along to our Week 6 Fridays@2 session for an insight into mathematical entrepreneurship!

This event brings mathematical entrepreneurship into the Maths Institute.  This talk will explore the options for those with an entrepreneurial view of using their maths, and what resources are available.  Two recent mathematicians from Oxford, who have gone on to found businesses will also speak about their experiences. In particular, we will hear from Michael Negus, who has just finished his DPhil at Oxford and is now on the 6 months Entrepreneur First programme, setting up a company that uses a machine learning approach to Computational Fluid Dynamics for the F1 and Aerospace industries.

The session will be led by Chris Daniels, who is sponsored by the Royal Society to be Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Maths Institute.

Open to anyone (undergraduates, postgraduates and anyone else interested) it will lift the lid on the practicalities and possibilities of setting something up by yourself.
