The Oxford Scientist is looking for keen writers to write about current issues in science.
We publish a range of opinion pieces on current affairs in science, scientific research culture, and experiences of studying in STEM.
We welcome articles from all scientific disciplines, and would love to hear from students at all stages in their academic studies. Whether you are an undergraduate exploring a topic of interest, or a graduate student willing to write about your own research, we would love for you to contribute.
Writers from all backgrounds are encouraged to get involved. The Oxford Scientist is keen to remove barriers to participating in student journalism, and we are particularly keen to hear from those from under-represented backgrounds. Especially if you’ve never written for us before, we’d love to hear from you.
If you are interested in writing but don’t know what to write about, please get in touch! We always have open commissions or can work with you to generate ideas for articles. Examples of published pieces can be found on our website.
