Microsoft is making changes to its M365 education license terms worldwide in 2024. The changes mean a reduction in the overall capacity available to the university for its Nexus365 service (which includes Teams, OneDrive, Sharepoint, Nexus Email, Office365 online etc.).
This in turn means the university is adjusting the storage quota per person on OneDrive to be capped at 100GB from 1/2/2024. About 3% of university members' OneDrives exceed this limit - they will receive a personal notification from central IT Services of the change and their quota will initially be lowered to at least ~10% above their current usage, from which they will then be asked to review their material and reduce their usage further over the coming months.
