The Warwick and Oxford SIAM Student Chapters are excited to be co-organising the Applied Mathematics Postgraduate (AMP) Conference, to be held on the 8th -10th July 2024, at the University of Warwick in Coventry, UK.
The event will consist of:
• a one-day workshop (focussing on communicating research to the public, policymakers and industry),
• followed by a two-day research conference (research topics in any area of applied mathematics are welcome!)
This conference is open to all, primarily catering to postgraduate researchers and early career researchers. The workshop provides a valuable opportunity to enhance your communication skills, particularly with non-specialist audiences, while the conference will offer a great chance for you to apply those skills by presenting your research in either a poster or talk format in a relaxed environment. The conference will also include talks by invited speakers, and plenty of opportunity to network.
The registration fee is just £10 per day, with lunch and coffee/tea provided during the event. We are also very pleased to offer free accommodation for a limited number of travelling attendees, so do indicate that when registering. Additionally, we are able to provide childcare.
