Cameron Lee - Polyhedra on Tote Bag

I stitched the platonic solids on to the Oxford Stuent Union tote bag from Freshers Week. The platonic solids are the only 5 polyhedra where each face is the same regular polygon and same number of polygons meet at each vertex.

On my bag, I have:
Green tetrahedron
Light blue cube
Grey octahedron
Blue dodecahedron
Yellow icosahedron

These shapes and their properties have been know for thousands of years, dating back to the early Pythagorean times, around 450BC.

Cameron is a Mathematics Undergraduate in the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford.
