An international Master Class "Algebraic Geometry & Physics" will be held at IMB (Dijon) from August 28 to September 1, 2023. This Master Class is aimed primarily at students who have validated a first year of Master's degree in fundamental mathematics or theoretical physics in the Summer of 2023 (or before). However, undergraduate students with a solid background in mathematics or physics, and interested in algebraic geometry and theoretical physics, can also apply.
This "Algebraic Geometry & Physics" Master Class will consist of 4 mini-courses of 5 hours each (with at least one exercise session in each case).
- Mini-course I: An introduction to Riemann surfaces, Manfred Lehn - Johannes Gutenberg University (Mainz)
- Mini-course II: An introduction to integrable Hamiltonian Systems, Duco van Straten - Johannes Gutenberg University (Mainz)
- Mini-course III: Fiber bundles and principal bundles, Adrien Dubouloz and Lucy Moser-Jauslin - University of Burgundy (Dijon)
- Mini-course IV: From graphs embedded on surfaces and matrix integrals to the topological recursion, Elba Garcia-Failde - Sorbonne University (Paris)
