Next/Previous Page Links

If you are creating a series of related pages, you can add a block that automatically inserts links to the next and previous pages in the current section of the website. See the end of this page for an example.

  1. Create the page as normal and add it to the menu
  2. Click the "Layout" tab at the top
  3. Click the "Add block" link below the content area (which is in Section 2 by default)
  4. Add the appropriate "Menu Pager" block - e.g. if the page is in the Members section of the site, select "Menu Pager - Members"
  5. Configure the block as follows:
    1. Untick "Display title"
    2. Tick "Restrict to parent"
    3. Click "Add block" to save it
  6. Scroll to the top of the Layout page and click "Save layout"

You can then clone the page to create the other pages in the section. (If you have already created the pages, you will need to repeat the steps above for every page.)

Please note: Only menu items that are visible to the current user will be considered when generating the links. For example, if there is one page that is only visible to authenticated users, and the user is not logged in, that page will be skipped and the page after it will be displayed instead. Conversely, as an editor, you may see links to pages that are not currently published, while other users would not see them. This should be consistent with the menu block.
