Mathematical physics, theoretical physics, geometry. More specifically I work on string theory, in particular supergravity, supersymmetric gauge theories and the AdS/CFT correspondence. I'm also interested in geometric structures that arise in string theory, notably special holonomy manifolds, Sasaki-Einstein manifolds, and generalized geometry.
I will be lecturing Part B Classical Mechanics in 2014/2015. I have previously lectured Part A courses on Quantum Theory and Electromagnetism.
