Applications are now open for the MSc in Health Data Science course, based in the Department of Health Data Science, University of Liverpool, Autumn 2023 intake. 
 
A showcase for this programme will be taking place on Wednesday 23rd November 1200-1300 UK time (registration instructions below).

Programme information
The programme is open to graduates from degree courses with a substantial quantitative methods content (specifically statistics and/or computer science elements). We also encourage applications from health-related professions or those with non-standard qualifications, who will be considered on their individual merits. 
 
The MSc in Health Data Science programme provides specialist training in the area of Health Data Science, aiming to educate current and future health data scientists, at all career stages, including those in the public and private sectors. Training is grounded in the team science approach to address important health research questions, including theory alongside practical application, and to introduce you to new forms of health data. Team science communication skills development will be an essential component of each module of the programme. 
 
Developed by internationally excellent research groups in biostatistics, public health, and computer science, combined with a number of world-leading centres in strategic areas of health, the programme offers a rigorous curriculum with research-focused teaching, training, and development in health data science. 
 
The programme will expose you to core health research, statistics and computer science modules, with the opportunity to obtain specialised knowledge along a statistics track, computer science track, or a combination. The programme is in a blended format using both online and campus-based delivery.  It is available on both a full-time and part-time basis. 
 
Students who will require visas to study in the UK, apply no later than 15 July 2023.  For all other applicants the deadline is 31 August 2023.
 
 
Scholarships

We are happy to announce that two scholarships are available from the Institute of Population Health - Health Data Science MSc Scholarships for students of the Autumn 2023 intake. For UK students, the UK tuition fees are being paid by the scholarship. For international students, tuition fees are partially being paid by the scholarship, to a maximum of the UK tuition fees £10,850.

To be eligible for these scholarships, you must be awarded a place on the MSc Health Data Science programme at the University of Liverpool. 

These scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis to the strongest applicants.

If you are interested, once you have secured a place on the MSc Health Data Science at the University of Liverpool, submit your CV and a brief supporting statement (no longer than 750 words), which should outline (1) why you should receive a scholarship to study on this programme, (2) your past achievements in academic and professional activities relevant to the MSc programme, and (3) your data science experience to date and any future career plans. You should be prepared to provide documentary evidence in support of the statement.

The deadline for HDS scholarship applications is 17.00 UK time on the 31st May 2023.  Please submit your application to Prof Ruwanthi Kolamunnage-Dona (@email) and Dr Richard Jackson (@email). The Scholarships are allocated at the discretion of the University of Liverpool and the decision is final.
