About the role

We are looking to recruit one of two Finance Assistants who play a key role in ensuring the Mathematical Institute’s financial transactions are recorded and processed accurately and in line with the University’s financial controls. You will report to the Finance Officer (General Ledger).

The Finance Assistants handle the majority of day-to-day transactions such as raising requisitions and purchase orders, processing delivery notes, invoices and expense claims, and routine processing of journals. You will need to use initiative in order to deal with a range of queries. You will be expected to work with minimal supervision, taking a proactive approach to organising your workload, prioritising competing demands effectively and producing high quality work, whilst adhering to deadlines.
