Applications are now open for places on the Oxford Programme in Sustainability Leadership (OPSL) 2023.

The Oxford Programme in Sustainability Leadership (OPSL) is organised annually by the Environmental Change Institute (ECI), part of the School of Geography and the Environment, as part of our effort to bring environmental sustainability to a wide network of students across the University, regardless of their degree course or year. The course is open to all current matriculated University of Oxford students, of any degree programme.

The OPSL takes place in person, in the School of Geography and the Environment. This year, the course will be on 18th-20th April (Tuesday – Thursday 0th Week Trinity).

With three full days of talks, workshops and practical work delivered by over 45 sustainability professionals coming from the public, private and not-for-profit sectors, the programme allows participants to improve their sustainability literacy and skills, equipping them with the tools they need going forward into sustainability leadership roles. Multiple participants from last year’s event even received internship and job offers from speakers. You can read more about the experiences of last year’s participants here, and take a look at the ECI website here to see the 2022 programme to give you an idea of what the event will look like.

We receive applications from students in a wide range of faculties and departments, including Classics, Computer Science, Sociology, Economics, Chemistry, Education, Health Sciences, Business, Psychology, Zoology and Geography, with a good mixture of undergraduates, Master's and DPhils. What will you bring to the mix?
