This Easter MPLS Division staff and researchers delivered hands-on family friendly activities for Family Science Days with Oxford University Development and Cherwell Collective – inspired by the science that takes place at Begbroke Science Park and Oxford University. These took place in Exeter Hall, Kidlington on 13 and 14 April.

The themes were Transport of the Future and Biodiversity and Clean Energy – on Thursday activities included zipline egg racing, floating vehicles (neutral buoyancy), an activity around programmable robots and build your own scribblebots plus content from spin outs Oxccu and Seloxium based at Begbroke Science Park.

We have more events planned going out to different groups in the Kidlington, Yarnton and Begbroke areas, as well as a one-day family science festival at Begbroke Science Park on 1st July. We are looking for more researchers to get involved, as volunteers or to deliver activities – and we can work with you to make this easy and fun. Please get in touch as we’d love to hear from you!
