Teaching Awards
The teaching awards recognise excellent teaching. There are two annual awards available to our teaching staff, the Departmental Teaching Awards scheme and the MPLS Divisional Teaching Awards.
Awards are available to all those who teach for the department, including graduate students, postdoctoral researchers and DPhil supervisors. The awards will be celebrated at the Annual Institute Celebration which is held at the start of Michaelmas term each year.
How to nominate
Information on how to nominate staff for the MPLS Teaching Awards is available via: https://www.mpls.ox.ac.uk/teaching-and-supervision/additionalinformation/teaching-awards
Nominations for the Departmental Teaching Awards scheme can be completed by any member of the Mathematical Institute, staff or student. Please do take some time to consider whether you would like to nominate a lecturer, tutor or TA, note that these awards are open to anyone who teaches i.e. faculty, early career researchers and research students. To nominate yourself or another person for a Departmental Teaching Award, you will need to fill in the nominations form. Please provide as much detail as possible to highlight why you feel your lecturer/tutor/TA/DPhil supervisor/colleague should be considered for a Departmental Teaching Award.
