The Oxford Maths Festival is an annual Maths extravaganza for the local community hosted by the Mathematical Institute. We are running a packed weekend of mathematical activities over the weekend of 15-16 February (end of Hilary Week 4). Every year this event attracts hundreds of local residents, with children aged 3-14 as well as adults. We need all the help we can get to ensure the event runs smoothly.

We need volunteers to help with:

15 February: Hands-on maths activities in Templars Square Shopping Centre
16 February: Family maths in the Mathematical Institute. Range of activities including problems, games, craft and workshops.

We also need a few people to help us create social media content both in the run-up and during the festival.

You can sign up for morning or afternoon shifts on both days – as many as you have time for! All volunteers will receive training and a festival T-shirt, as well as drinks and snacks on the day to keep you going. This is a fantastic and fun event and a great way to help us engage the public with Maths.

This opportunity is open to all. You can sign up as a volunteer online. Please do so by the end of Week 8.
