We invite all to the meetings of Mathematrix. Discussion group about life in academia and matters faced by minorities

Mathematrix

Mathematrix is a student-led group in the Mathematical Institute where postgraduates and postdocs discuss and explore topics related to challenges in academic life and being a minority in the maths community. Mathematrix hosts regular events during term-time. The events are relaxed and informal, and people may come and go as they please.  Allies are actively encouraged to attend.

To join us, please subscribe to our mailing list by sending a blank email to @email. You can follow Mathematrix on social media for reminders about our events through these links: https://linktr.ee/mathematrixox. The official seminar listing for Mathematix is here: https://www.maths.ox.ac.uk/events/list/3466. If you have any questions, email @email.

We are also actively looking for individuals interested in helping with the organisation of Mathematrix and/or the Oxford Women and Nonbinary People in Maths Day (co-run with the undergraduate Mirzakhani Society). If you are interested in getting involved behind the scenes, please email @email
