Mental Health Awareness Week isn't over just yet, so let's take a moment to reflect on other methods for exam success.

The University has put together some self-care resources to help you through this busy and stressful season. Make time for breaks and mood-boosting activities in the weeks leading up to the exams. Go for a walk, cycle, or hula hoop. Take a break from your screen and live IRL for a bit before you're glued to a chair writing exams all June.

Tip 1: You don't have to be a medical student to know this exam hack. Get some sleep!

If you want a scientific approach to getting better sleep, check out Sleepio, an app designed by researchers at the University of Oxford.

Speaking of sleep...

Tip #2: If you are in a significantly different time zone (i.e. those not in GMT+2 to +7), you can start your exam at any point from 09.30 UK time but no later than 9:30am in the city where you are sitting the exam. And same goes for afternoon exams - start no later than14:30 local time.

Don't worry, no need to wake up at 2am to write your exam (unless you really want to).

Tip #3: Even though there is a 5 minute penalty-free grace period before your exam is officially late, Inspera will lock you out as soon as your writing time is up.

If it comes to this, you'll have to submit a form to the Online Exams Support Desk https://www.ox.ac.uk/online-exams-help and upload your exam within that 5 minute period, otherwise you'll fail. So it's better to use those 30 minutes of upload time to get your response in the hassle-free way.

(Unless you had an emergency or technical problems, in which case submit when you can and fill out an MCE.)
