We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work with Professor Hanqing Jin. This is a two-year, fixed-term position, and the post-holder will be based here at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford, in the world-leading Oxford Octa Lab in Digital Economics.

The Oxford-Octa Lab in Digital Economics is working on initiatives in FinTech, AI applications, cryptocurrency, and blockchain technology. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a versatile academic background in performing mathematical and/or computational research in the area of mathematical finance, artificial intelligence, blockchain technology and theories. They will write their research up for publication and will fully participate in the activities of the Lab. 

You will have, or be close to completing, a PhD in mathematics, computer science or a related discipline, and possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to work within established research programmes, alongside a good level of programming skill in Python, R or similar programming platforms.
