We are currently inviting applications for two Postdoctoral Research Associates (PDRAs) to work with Dr Thomas Bloom at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford. These are two-year, fixed-term positions, funded by a research grant from the Royal Society. We anticipate the start-date for these positions to be 01 September 2024.

The successful candidate will be part of our Number Theory research group. They will be expected to conduct research in additive combinatorics, interpreted in a broad sense, which could include research in related fields such as analytic number theory, combinatorics, and harmonic analysis. This research is expected to be done in part independently and in part in collaboration with other members of the group at Oxford, or other mathematicians internationally.

We proudly hold a departmental Athena SWAN Silver Award and an institutional Race Equality Charter Bronze Award, which guide our progress toward advancing racial and gender equality. As part of our strategic aim to improve staff equality and diversity, we would particularly welcome applications from women and BME candidates, who are currently under-represented in positions of this type within the department.
