The Mathematical Institute is inviting outstanding mid-career researchers to apply for a Royal Society Faraday Discovery Fellowship. These long-term fellowships support research leaders to undertake high-quality, original research. The scheme is aimed at outstanding mid-career STEM researchers (typically 10-20 years from PhD) and will provide grants of up to £8M over a ten-year period to support the development of world-leading research groups.
Interested candidates should review the scheme guidelines available here https://royalsociety.org/grants/faraday-discovery-fellowships/. Interested eligible candidates are invited to submit an Expression of Interest by email to @email, not later than 02 August 2024, 12:00 noon UK time.
Expressions of Interest should comprise a single PDF document, including a CV (at most two pages), a list of the candidate's 10 most significant publications (one page) and a research statement (one page). The research statement should outline the proposed research vision.
We expect to be able to appoint successful applicants to a (permanent) senior academic appointment.
