The University of Greenwich and the IMA are again working together to host the conference Tomorrow's Mathematicians Today (TMT) 2025 online
https://sites.google.com/view/ima-tmt-2025 . This conference provides an opportunity for mathematics undergraduates to experience an academic conference, and to deliver a short talk to their peers in a friendly setting. A student need not talk about their own research (though that is welcome) but may simply present a piece of mathematics that excites them. There will be a prize for the best presentation.
This will be the twelfth TMT conference. TMT2024 attracted over 180 registrants from universities all round the UK, and 41 students gave presentations. Feedback from those who attended was very positive.
Comments on previous conferences have included "Everyone was welcoming and friendly, it didn't feel stressful to present, it was really enjoyable. Saw an amazing selection of talks on all sorts of mathematics. I was inspired by my peers doing research and amazing maths", "Nice to interact with other students and mathematicians. The talks were great!", and "I especially enjoyed just to have an excuse to explore my favourite areas! It was also great practise for public speaking :)".
The conference will be held online on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 March 2025. The conference website with registration instructions and the call for papers is at https://sites.google.com/view/ima-tmt-2025 .
Attendance is free for UK mathematics undergraduates.
