The Mathematical Institute and Department of Statistics are internationally renowned departments which work closely together and deliver joint undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. The two departments are committed both to academic excellence and the opportunity to study for all enthusiastic and gifted prospective undergraduates.

About the role

You will be part of a small and busy team of professional administrators responsible for the efficient and smooth running of outreach initiatives in mathematical sciences, working to support the departments’ progress towards their equality, diversity and inclusion goals, including their Athena SWAN and Race Equality Action Plans. You will contribute to the planning, delivery and evaluation of outreach initiatives, including events, working with potential applicants, teachers, faculty and professional services colleagues from across the collegiate University, as well as a variety of internal and external partners. You will provide a professional, efficient and friendly first point of contact for enquiries; be a self-starter and an enthusiastic team player.

The Outreach Administrator will work alongside the rest of the outreach team in the Mathematical Institute, including the Admissions and Outreach Coordinator (line manager for this role), the Project Manager for the departments’ new GCSE Mentoring programme, and the Outreach Learning & Development Content Coordinator.
